Overview:
The Student Services Officer at iPreach Campus is responsible for providing comprehensive support and guidance to students throughout their academic journey. This role is vital to ensuring a positive student experience by addressing academic, personal, and administrative needs. The Student Services Officer works closely with students, faculty, and administration to foster a supportive environment that promotes student success and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for students regarding academic concerns, campus resources, and personal challenges. Provide guidance and solutions to help students navigate their academic experience.
Advising and Mentorship: Offer academic advising, helping students understand course requirements, registration processes, and graduation planning. Provide mentorship to students in areas of academic and personal development.
Student Orientation: Organize and conduct orientation programs for new students, ensuring they are well-acquainted with campus policies, resources, and services.
Administrative Services: Assist students with administrative tasks such as course registration, academic records, and compliance with institutional policies. Ensure smooth communication between students and administrative offices.
Crisis Management: Act as a resource for students experiencing emotional, academic, or personal crises, providing immediate support and referrals to appropriate campus services or external resources.
Events and Programming: Collaborate with campus leadership to organize student activities, workshops, and events that support student engagement, academic success, and personal growth.
Collaboration: Work closely with faculty and other campus departments to ensure students receive well-rounded support, addressing academic, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Student Advocacy: Represent student interests in discussions with faculty and administration, ensuring that student voices are heard and that their needs are met.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, student services, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience working in student services, academic advising, or a similar role in an educational institution.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students.
Ability to provide guidance and support in a Christian, faith-based environment, aligning with the mission and values of iPreach Campus.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage and resolve student issues effectively.
Experience in organizing events, workshops, or student programs is a plus.
