Overview:
The Counselor at iPreach Campus is responsible for providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to students and staff, helping them navigate personal challenges and promoting overall well-being. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the mental and spiritual health of the campus community. The Counselor offers individual counseling sessions, group therapy, and workshops, integrating Christian principles with professional counseling techniques to foster growth, healing, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Individual Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling to students and staff, addressing personal, emotional, and spiritual challenges in a confidential and supportive environment.
Group Therapy and Workshops: Lead group counseling sessions and workshops designed to support emotional well-being, personal growth, and spiritual development.
Spiritual Guidance: Offer faith-based counseling that integrates Christian values, helping individuals strengthen their relationship with God while addressing emotional and psychological needs.
Crisis Intervention: Respond to urgent emotional or psychological crises, providing immediate support and guidance for those in distress.
Wellness Programming: Develop and implement campus-wide wellness programs aimed at promoting mental health, emotional resilience, and spiritual growth.
Collaboration: Work closely with other faculty members, administration, and the student services department to ensure a holistic approach to student and staff well-being.
Resource Referral: When appropriate, refer individuals to external resources such as specialized counseling services, medical professionals, or community organizations.
Follow-up Care: Ensure consistent support for individuals by providing ongoing counseling and monitoring progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
Qualifications:
Licensed counselor with experience in a Christian or ministry-based setting.
Strong background in pastoral care and counseling, preferably with experience in church or educational environments.
Ability to integrate Christian values with counseling methods to address emotional and psychological challenges.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and empathetic support.
Commitment to the mission and values of iPreach Campus, particularly in promoting emotional and spiritual well-being.
Experience in crisis intervention and wellness programming is preferred.
